i must admit it is pretty confusing that the only two commercials at train stations at the moment are either for cope (king of the 4 line) or the new laws.......
Well don't I look teh stoopids! Maybe I should follow that email up...

Sweet thread guys, I'll lose some large amounts of time checking out everything in here! :D

I was hoping someone might be able to help me out with tracking some art down. I saw this a while ago, I think someone on these boards was using it as an avvy for a while:

I'd really like to know who's work this is and check out more of their stuff, so any info would be much appreciated. Cheers!

Thought I'd throw this up, not exactly street art in every sense, but definitely inspired to some degree by all the great graff I get to see riding the train to work most days.

Feel free to hit me up with crits and suggestions if you have any. :D

witty > course you get first dibs, they have to go past your room to get out of the house!

and ADD > i know, it just bores me that thats the only really coveted image from melb's streets....is a one layer stencil of a womans face.

i wish other artists got up more, and thier stuff would have cult status too!

yeh.. i love it for the history and it reminds me of a few years back. :)

More colour FTW !!

I need some really colourful ones like a Phibksy

Or some of the new tall oaks by Reka triptichs (spelling) are awesome!!

Agreed, some of the stuff I see at shows would look soo much better on walls.

$550 a can now though, not very encouraging.

yeah im excited for reka's show!

his style is just getting better and better imo.

$550 a can is BULLSHIT.

and you know what shits me even more?
the fact that they say at the bottom of the posters

"tougher new laws on graffitti"

HELLO!!?? CHROMING!!???
fuck graffittti, that is ART.
how about the paint covered faces i see at train stations everywhere.

way to go government, make it about supressing art, and not a serious gutter drug health problem.

I've thought of a simple way around this. You're allowed to carry paint cans if it's for work purposes

so, get some Business Cards!

Too pricey tho. Most of the Phibs were on wood. $1K minimum.

Needs more $$$ !! BAD.

Hopefully Reka has some more in my range??

 fark.

you know, the everfresh crew are getting beyond the tag of 'street art'
they are almost fine artists now, with the mediums and prices to go with them.

dunno bout reka bein any cheaper!
