aLive – Get into it early before it gets dirty .
100% local original music all day.
The days of the bedroom Dj are over, the days of learning a musical instrument or getting your hands on a computer capable of making sounds unheard of are here. The crew from aLive are giving Melbourne a taste of what’s being cooked up in the underbelly of today’s dance music creators and it’s causing quite a buzz.
Taking in to account the fact that these people can be hard to find, Luke McD and Luko have taken it upon themselves to search the sites and seek the sounds of tomorrows stars like ‘Becy’, ‘Enclave’ and ‘Pat Stormont’ while also giving a platform to those more known to the local dance scene like Bubble & Squeak or Honeysmack.
The Retreat Beer garden makes the perfect place and the 2pm start creates the ideal atmosphere for listening without the pressure often put on a performer to hold a dance floor or stick within a genre. The first Saturday of each month a group of like-minded, open earned, music enthusiasts gather to take in the sun, sink some beer and listen to a whole afternoon of local, 100% original music. The next aLive is on November 5th, 2pm till 9pm at Retreat. See you there.

Not that bald guy, I recognise honeysmack, it was Enclave I was thinking about.
No matter, I'm sure KL will be great because so far, every single act has been better than good.
