March 5th: Revolver: Blueprint (Live) & Klaus Hill (TCR)
March 5th: Revolver: Blueprint (Live) & Klaus Hill (TCR)
Saturday 5th March @ Revolver
THE LATESHOW PRESENTS:
BLUEPRINT (LIVE), HEAVEYWEIGHT HILL
+ RANSOM, THAYER, LYNT & CURLZ
On the level and on the money, Klaus “Heavyweight†Hill is a bona fide stalwart of the London breaks scene. This guy loves making music, whether in the booth wok-tossing mentalist breakbeats to the bassbin max, or in the studio stir-frying basslines so heavy they be impossible to lift. Already name-checked by goodfella’s Rennie Pilgrem and Meat Katie, Klaus’ sound is a barnyard blend of tough beats, booty-wagglin groove and inspired darkness.
As part of 2Sinners (alongside Carl Hovland) he has delivered tracks for labels such as Distinctive, Botchit & Scarper, TCR and Ministry Of Sound. He has given the remix treatment to James Lavelle’s UNKLE project as well as Jakatta and Soul Of Man.
A residency at London’s The End club and a worldwide DJ schedule enables Klaus to issue breakout deliveries that drop brilliantly on the dancefloor.
Over the part 12 months this multi-talented musician has been back in the studio, busy producing his solo project for Tayo’s Mob Records and his own 2S2 and Conehead labels, as well as accepting an invitation to mix the second installment of the acclaimed Mob Deep series for the label. 2004 is going to see colossal solo releases for Klaus that will take him touring from South London to South Australia. There’s a storm brewing…
It’s the year of the Heavyweight and Klaus is the name to watch out for.
Don't forget Blueprint's stellar live performance, this will something you wont want to miss.

Blueprint
I knew he was destined for greatness the first time I saw him. So many different sounds contained in each of his songs. Unasuming, friendly and just an all around cool person to have around. Go BP!!!quiet roar wrote:Soon he'll be a superstar and I'll be able to say "I knew him when he was just starting out".
Now we just gotta get him to suck down a few weight gain shakes and grow some facial hair, so he's not mistaken for one of my students anymore.

Cool show! Nice to see ya again Karl, I apologise for my namecalling, but really, it's the way I compliment . Blueprint for the second time doesn't disappoint, his sounds are beautifully fresh...can't wait to see where the boy goes! Klaus is one big rockin' dude. Played some pretty tough breaks, and the crowd loved him! Dropped his new 12, which was chunky as. I got really drunk after 2 (can't remember the time exactly) and just felt like crawling into bed at that point, so I didn't get to see the end of his set or see Lyntos get up there, but I'm sure that it would have kicked some major booty. Good night out
Allons-y!
