mecka, can i ask you design wise, how you will be ripping it up for print at 80x60 cm ??? the question relates more to the background image than the type.
I'm not getting it professionally printed.nhd wrote:mecka, can i ask you design wise, how you will be ripping it up for print at 80x60 cm ??? the question relates more to the background image than the type.
Unfortunately, due to my lack of money I've been forced to print it at home on my photo inkjet.
So I've basically divided the image up into 9 seperate panels which will be mounted on thick board and slotted together to make 1 whole image, which is then going into a frame. Straight prints from PS because I cannot be assed with pdfs.
I would've loved to get it printed up as a 3 color image and do a small run so I can distribute it to friends + family but, like I said, I don't have the money.

yeah those wide format printers are awesome. I was mucking around with one of the roland ones a few years ago. The ones with cutting blades in them. Made some crazy contour cut stickers of danger girls =D
another option is to rasterbate
basically you upload an image and it makes a massive halftone PDF. you can literally make it tens of metres wide. The tricky bit is cutting the bleed off all the pages and making sure you keep them in the right order.
