heya! :)

I am missing HC i'm afraid as we're off to support my friend Anne-Marie with the launch of Third Story Management at Two Floors Up. Going to see Steve Gerrard there + ripper local lineup. Then I'm going to bolt over to Tilt to see Robbie Lowe who the Syd mates big up as the best prog dj in their town. He's an RA lad, so I have to go say Hello :)

Vans is leaving her work in the new year. She got a new job! 8)

LOL. I was standing thinking "uh huh" *blush*, while RB was saying "good one Bro" :p

yeah i did that a fortnight ago with 2 phone calls and 2 emails. then we sorted things and i said right, what next... contract & visas!? and he's not replied since. I have reminded him I'm off to see the family at xmas and that he wants me there for a conference for which he hasnt told me the date yet. he is one way disorganised dude, but i'm busy with finishing my papers here, so I'll keep doing it while i can.

hmmm, should do a scan of the job market this week though to see what else if around. I never believer anything is truely guaranteed until it is in your hand or right there in front of you.

One would only expect a PJ truck to be waiting outside your work BRB. did you take a look inside? were there curtains?

Recently I've seen several occurences of dudes riding skateboards wearing tight black jeans and Metalica t-shirts. Has skating attire changed or are bogans starting to ride skateboards?

There appears to be some cross-cultural pollination going on at the moment, maybe there be an influx of shirtless goths dancing with the roid boys at Summadayze this NYD?

in alot of the recent skate vids, all the pro's are wearin' all the rocker/grunge shit. complete with studded belts. the kiddies are just copying them.

that and bogan skaters.

could be worse, I just saw a group of three teens wearing exactly the same polo shirts in different colours, of course they had the collars turned up and Von Dutch truckers aswell.....

they looked like a tub of Neopolitan Wankers

hmm reminds me of honkys on sunday night...

2 chicks friends having a dance, one in black 1 sleeve top + skirt, best friend in red one sleeve top + skirt.

then 2 more chicks hit the dancefloor, one in peach backless halter + jeans, bestie in black backless halter + jeans.

SQ or eskay or any of the chicks, remind me to give you a call before we go out so that we can match our outfits - NOT!!! stupid boring fashion clones drive me crazy.

Gold! I reckon we should knock up some Neopolitan Wanker polos and leather wrist bands, and then sell em at Prahran Markets or outside Zos on a Sunday morning - we'd make a fortune...

The whole skate thing is due to Jim Greco and his tight black pants Sid Vicious fixation, fuck me how you pull a kickflip tailslide down a handrail when you've got the worst dose of testicle seperation since an early 70's Sherbert album cover

In Sydney I learned that you can buy polo shirts with the brand name printed underneath the collar. That way you can have the collar up AND show off your cool brand. Doubly cool.

It's a worry when you're going out and have fight your way through the salmon running upstream to mate.

Meh.

What i want to see is bogan skaters with riced up lowered boards, flashing lights, chromed out wheels and a tape deck in the backpack that goes "phhhhhfffff" every so often.

Now that will be next level.

how fucking funny and true at the same time, looks as if they all go to the same hair dresser too...

I thought that most guys over there got the latest issue of FHM and ripped out a page of the so-called male fashions and took that with them to the pastel polo outlet....

yeah for a few months now brb...

i had it at the mechanic yesterday coz they had to do a radiator flush and since i've picked it up it's being really fucked up... it's vibrating like it's a truck or something... and when i'm stopped at the lights the little rev indicator arm is bouncing even though my foot isn't even near the accelerator :?
and it takes ages to pick up speed when i drive off, then all of a sudden it’ll just lurch forward… scary. i need to take it back to them i reckon, all the way back out to burwood :(

it's a toyota cressida.
i spoke to my dad on the phone about it last night and he said it sounds like either they've got some water in an electrical part when they were doing the flush, or that they've disconnected the spark plugs and not reconnected them properly...
i don't know how to check spark plugs though :P
i might just take it to the petrol station / mechanic round the corner from work a bit later...

It could just be the rubber mounts on the radiator vibrating...also the taco bouncing needle is either just a dodgy accelarator cable or the idle needs checking, if its a manual it should idle at about 800rpm if its auto at about 1000rpm, as for taking ages to pick up when u take off it could be 1000 things, Is it smokey exhause it could need rings..

Cars are just money pitts anyways they suck.

it's just shit coz it wasn't doing any of this before i took it there!

it had an overheating issue which is why they did the radiator flush... but all this other stuff was fine... :(

i don't get what they've done :(

(i know shit about cars as you can probably tell :P )

I think he could be right. you'd be surprised how much a little water can fuck with your car.

It'll either dry out by itself or get them to give it (the distributor) a blast with an air compressor.

older cars are piss easy to fix, it's the new ones I have no idea about

yeah i think it's right too brb...

i just took it up to the garage around the corner and the guy tinkered with it for 10-15 mins... he said he couldn't see any water in the distributor or anywhere else at a glance. he said i'd have to check it in (ie pay) if i wanted him to do a full engine check and check all the leads and spark plugs etc though :(

he said i should just drive it v carefully for a couple of days and see if it clears up. if it's still bad take it back to them to check properly or check it into an auto-electrician.

money money money :(

I just spent the better part of the morning riding round Port Melbourne and St Kilda on a Harley as part of a team bonding session...

Fucking scarey and yet kinda cool at the same time. Having to put my arms around a big, leather clad, tattoo covered geezer made me completely understand why Proctor always freaked out when he accidently ended up in the Blue Oyster Bar...
