Bye Bye AgentMad

Post by Polecat »

Maybe I've been caught napping, but I have just learnt from an industry news letter than AgentMad is no more. Is it true?? (And here I was wondering why Friday had a new office at the Espie!).

Anyways, I wanted to start a thread to say thanks for all the good times!

33&1/3 parties were some of the best I have attended in Melbourne, and most enjoyable. I've spent them dancing and laughing with pals! I've seen new DJs and artists and experienced different Melb venues.

All in all, I'll miss you! Thanks for the breaks! :D

Wh-wh-what?????

That sucks. 33 1/3 have been the pinacle of all things broken beat in this town since my introduction to the scene. They will be sorely missed.

Massive thanks to all involved in all aspects of the business.

So many memories, and also a lack of so many more....

Say it aint so.....

I was wondering about this the other day, just noticed that there was no up-coming dates in the AM calendar. I thought maybe they might be planning something big (hoping). Good luck with everything you do from here on in Lucie!!

Yeah, it's true.

Much love for the Agent Mad crew. The Espy NYD parties will still be happening, thank god.

Mel and Lucie consistently put on quality underground events and really helped shape the Melbourne (and Aus) scene, and definately inspired a whole lot of Melbourne djs, promoters and producers, thank for everything you did guys!

My thoughts exactly mate.
Things are going to go seriously underground the way things are shaping up.
Sorry to see Agentmad go - been to some good gigs over the years, even though I never got booked. (It's all good 8) )
(The Stanton Warriors coming out here for the FIRST ever time, was one of my greatest breaks gigs ever, and Uberzone the first time was insane too. Plus I had great fun at the docklands party with blackeyed peas and James Lavelle. Ohh, and the first Freestylers gig back in the day at the Prince - Gold.).

You did good work guys. Respect - and good luck with whatever you do in the future.

It's going to be an interesting Summer, that's for sure. :?

Massive respekt to AMad

Too many good times to list at their well organised parties

Best memories for me were Uberzone in the sunshine of the back courtyard and Andy C in the Gershwin- sweat dripping from the ceiling, oh and watermelon which circulated at just the right time

Big ups Lucie and Melle :smt023

My statement echos what everyone else has said.

Sad to see such a prominant Melbourne party organisation go, you guys have put on some quality parties in Melbourne the past few years which were a benchmark in the scene.

On the plus side, great to see you're at the Espy Lucie. Hopefully we might be seeing some more gigs at the Espy in the future.

Hopefuly the scene keeps evolving from this and doesn't stagnate. There has been big bad shit happening latly. I said it before and I'll say it again: I think it's time to take this shit back underground where it belongs... Old skool ware houe parties!!

Big Ups Agent Mad. :smt041 Thanks for providing some fantastic parties and some great opportunities for a lot of local dj's too.

Personally I thank you for instigating my first meeting with (my lovely mate) Ides, for giving Brainstorm a guernsey in the unheard room (both NYD 2005), for putting The Lils together behind the decks for the first time (NYD 2006), and of course all the mental fun had at gigs there seeing some truly awesome acts. Highlights - Uberzone this easter :smt049 And of course my very favourite moment DJ Air Chicken...

Looking forward to the next chapter :smt041

That's pretty much what I started this thread for... a chance to remember some good times (and the pic above is a priceless indicator of that! :P) and farewell an era.

Good luck to Lucie and Melle with your new venture! :D

Keep the breaks coming, oh and I'd like some quality hip hop too please :P

Farken nic work on keeping the rumour mongers silent on this.
Now lets see who the rumour ghost of 33 1/3 really is.....
it was you all along, you started those rumours to take the attention away from yourselves.
Damn those meddling kids you would of got away with it if it wasn't for them.
