he, im sure Moonlight cinemas are going to love that night. This will be awesome though, havn't seen Tool perform for over 10 years now, and that was an amazing performance back then, cant wait to see how they transpire their sounds of now into a live performance.

I think I'll probably go to this. I've heard so many good reports that it's one of the only gigs I've missed and regretted it. (Portishead was another)

not the full Live band, that was Tony Coleman (also known as London Elektricity, just to confuse things)
it was a DJ set
Liz, you should check out Billion Dollar Live (or their new one). It's a DVD of the Live performance.
wicked stuff

Hey mecka, I'll sing behind a blue sheet with some lights making shadows.
And I'll shave my head if enough people pay $80.

I reckon the spanner image is powerful and they hve diluted their image some what by allowing photos of them wearing cowboy hats to be published.

No doubt Tool will also be playing at next years Big Day Out as well. Tool would surely exceed the budget for top billing bands at the BDO thus the only way to generate enough cash for the bands artist fee is to subsidize it with the BDO arranging large scale side shows. Similar to the arrangement made with Metallica, who also played a side show at the Sydney Myer Melbourne Music Bowl whilst touring with the BDO. So in other words, we can all rejoice in knowing there is most likely going to be at least two opportunities to witness the talents of Tool.

You should try to get them to promote it as your birthday gig... They can sing "Happy Birthday" but with danny carey going sick the whole time
