Laptops
My work are kindly buying me a new laptop.
Price not really an issue within reason.
What is best.
I am thinking a new Thinkpad, although my T60 is still dope as.
Could go Apple, but just found out you can't set focus on window over. Bit upset about that.
Suggestions?

no more serial ports with the lenovo kit. i'm a lifelong x-series fanboy, so ended up with a new x60s when the x40 was stolen (booooo). it's still nice, but a little warmer, a little thicker, plus they've added windows keys to the keyboard, so all the bottom row keys are suddenly tiny. plus they've changed the power adaptor. boooo lenovo.

Would it be a pain in the ass finding apps without having to compile them yourself?

Because thats what I'm comfortable with I suppose. Never really had call to use BSD from scratch. Always been Debian.
Really all I want is Enlightenment.
I suppose it would much easier to just install that.

You are right tho, I'd be silly not to give aqua & quartz a go.
