The Big Up Thread
how full on was that story. i felt really emotional reading it in the paper.
they said in the paper that it was because of the safety bar under the tram that he was pushed along and just slightly crushed, without the bar they said the tram would have rolled right over him and cut his feet / legs off
good to know the safety things are working!

Then he's lucky that it was an old tram.Friday wrote:they said in the paper that it was because of the safety bar under the tram that he was pushed along and just slightly crushed, without the bar they said the tram would have rolled right over him and cut his feet / legs off

Check under the front of the older Trams.... it's like a little park bench on hinges... amazing little contraption. If it engages properly it can even pick up a person keeping them right off the ground. But you have to practically be lying across the tracks perpendicular to the tram for it to work properly.
You're pretty much f@#ked if you get hit by a more modern tram.

Check, as above.
I love it, getting a full pay for the public holiday anyways, then time and a half for my first 2 hours, then double time and a half for the rest. Fuck me, its like getting paid for 3 days for only doing 12:30 - 6. I got a sleep in, hardly any work to do, internet playing and free dress, with no manager. ahh, having a great day. wish every day was like this.
Why wouldnt you????

bigups working in legal. i get pissed off a lot dealing with lawyers, but i do appreciate that they push me to be better, and they don't stand for mistakes, which makes you work harder. Plus its nice to be surrounded by stupidly intelligent people every day, makes you use your brain more.
