we just planted our vege garden, 4 different types of tomatoes, capsicum, lettuce, basil, italian parsley... mmmm salad in the ground! Birds ripped half of it out last week, had to re-do planting. Also got the BIGGEST orange tree, bad bwoy oranges ready to eat, the smell of fresh oranges is the best! God i love having a backyard! So many birdies, its ace.

Had one of the best spring starts here with the garden. Was really surprised cause I haven't watered them all winter and bam! all of a sudden there's so much to eat and so little I need to buy. It's a fucking treat to grab a bowl and go outside and pick dinner. Everyone should do it.

Got a solution for you Gnat. Just whack your planters in a bowl with a bit of beer or wine at the bottom (but not so the plant absorbs it). The snails get belligerent and go looking for pizza and hot chicks instead.
