had the makings of a great film, just never quite got there. the guy who played johnny quid looks so much like bez from the happy mondays though.

The first few episodes were fail.. the ones that copied the english version directly.. but once they started writing their own shows it is gold.
The bat episode is LOL!

that maybe true, but I'd still have the word "fuckwit" bouncing around in the back of my head which would ruin it for me.... just write your own show about an office

Exactly! It's like Linkin Park doing a CD of AC/DC covers... sort of. Anyway it's fucking lame IMO!

got the Dark Knight to watch WOOT!
You haven't seen Dark Knight yet? It rules! So awesome.
Yeah, thought Balboa was about 2.5/5.
Not much boxing in it. I would have thought that Rocco would have gone through a few preliminary fights before taking on the undisputed world champ Dixon. But, at least they cut a bit of the Hollywood bullshit out with Rocky losing the bout.
Sly's plastic surgery is making him look more ridiculous the older he gets. That eyes and nose combo are just plain weird.
dark knight was fun and heath was awesome, but it didnt resonate with me anything like the first one.
i think it did really well at the classic dynamic between batman and joker. the two face development was a little shallow, or didnt reach the potential it think it should have. in the cartoon they did it really well, the backstory of dent/wayne underpinning the twoface/batman conflict.
some didnt like the lack of character development for bruce wayne but it didnt bother me, i liked the way he was grappling with the role he had to adopt as batman.
Heath was incredible. But i just loved the script for him, the way he encapsulated the never concluding nature of the batman/joker dynamic - and that he was clever enough to work out what made batman tick pretty quick.
Sorry (not really) but that is my opinion. If he had not passed away (RIP) I think more people may agree as well. I felt it was a really badly developed character by the producers too, really did not do it for me. There I have said it.
But completely disagree, and it has nothing to do with the R.I.P. fact for me.
He was way more dark, manic and erratic than when Nicholson played the Joker. And Jack Nicholson ain't exaclt a bad actor in my book, especially on the crazy tip.
New Watchmen trailer -http://io9.com/5086630/new-watchmen-tra ... -craziness I simply cannot wait to see this film, being such a fan of the graphic novel. There is a lot of story to tell though, but apparently it's gonna be almost 3 hours long or some shit. Still, can't wait!
And revisited 'Apocolypse Now: Redux' on the weekend also.
Long film. Such a strange movie for Coppola compared to The Godfather. So twisted.
Martin Sheen is amazing. As is Brando, naturally. It is odd that Brando is only in the film for such a short period towards the end, and yet gets the top billing.
Would be a frightful movie to watch on hallucinogens.
I must admit I thought Heath nailed it proper, but I did have a moment during the viewing that made me wonder if I was paying more attention because of all the hype after he died. I couldn't remove the knowledge while watching him perform so I can't really say if I would have enjoyed his performance as much if he was still around.
For serious??? James Dean was a good actor but was he a genius?? Who knows, but everyone says so thanks to his dying so early in his career. It definitely effects my judgement. How can I forget that the man I'm looking at on the screen just died...and more than likely as a result of the very movie I'm watching.

That stuff effects me.
He died during the filming of "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus", well after dark knight had finished shooting.
Oh yeah I realise that, was referring to mixxy's comment about the movie contributing to his death.
And from what I've heard it probably did.. but it wasn't his last movie.

Word.
Apparently the whole 'playing the Joker contributed to Heath's death' rumour is just that, a rumour.
