that lift has been broken since the 90's. I was stuck in there on my way up to Cage for an hour once. Was not fun, uncle sid was not happy about it.

Had a great night, really enjoyed the social aspect above all else. Good fun vibe in there. Although I was elbowed in the face by a 6ft 4" guy who didn't even notice, my glasses are still bent. But you get that at the big gigs.

Bar staff: that girl from the back room needs to lose her job cause she doesn't deserve to have it. At one point she slammed a beer bottle on the bar, and as she was taking the dude's money she said "why the fuck am I here?". I'm not a terribly violent person but I thought she needed a good slap upside the head. Good staff really help to keep the vibe alive and she killed mine for a while.

The sound in the backroom was indeed muffled and kinda ruined the roll. Could have easily had more listening pleasure, but it was still pretty good. Just not best. Didn't dig Randall as much as I thought I would but loved Commix, he was rad. I enjoyed Teebee and Calyx more than I did last time, they seemed more playful or something, it was wicked fun. I'd sit down to take a breather and then they'd smash another tune and I'd have to get on my feet again. Sore footsies by the end of the night.

Gotta agree, the bar staff was fucking hopeless. One instance where I'd ordered some Jager bombs and the kid behind the bar (whom looked like he was 13) said they were all out. Id been at the bar not 5 minutes before hand and had seen him using the Jager, so I looked over to the fridge, and whats sitting there? 1 Half full and a full bottle of Jager. I notify him, he looks at me "nah mate, your wrong, we're out" in a really snide tone - i point at the fridge and tell him to turn around, once he realises, he heads straight over without any kind of apology for being a smartass and then pours the drinks. I couldn't believe it.

I can't really agree with.

I was in that lift with no air and 16 other people, and WE called the emergency services from inside the bloody lift! Roxannes didn't give a fuck, there was no air in there and a couple claustrophobic people, when we came out no-one bothered to ask if we were okay, no-one from the venue was even there, the BBA rep whisked away the artists who were late on, so fair enough, and it wasn't their lift, but an 'are you all okay' wouldn't have hurt, nor would it have killed the venue to offer us all a drink when we got out of their dangerous piece of broken down shit lift.

Rant over, but so unimpressed.

Music on the other hand..oh my... biggups Joe Seven, Randall and Commix and of course Lowqui, would have liked to see Randall/Lowqui together a little longer but all round brilliant night. I'd like to write here what I think of TC and TeeBee but the polite company I am in has asked me to desist, so I won't, ha.

Unless your a DJ carting up a massive bag of records or have a broken leg, i cant see why you'd have any probs making it up them.

Firstly a big thank you to everyone that came down and i can't apologise enough to the lift crew. FOr those of you that were not too happy with the sound, the venue is going through a system upgrade this week, a total change, both rooms will still be nexo but diff rigs....stay tuned.

If the lift crew want to get in touch, i would like to invite you guys to come to Bailey, on me. I know it's not much compensation for being stuck 45mins in a lift, but it'll be a fun night to forget about it.

Other than that, it was goood times. Great to work with BBA and Big Tingz again. Till next time.

when there are decent bar staff, sound engineers and security in attendance, its easily one of the top venues to have a dirty DNB rave..

Roxanne -low ceilings = sound doesn't dissipate too much. Also, when everyone bouncing at the same time, the floor jumps up and down. At some stage there will be a crash and the karaoke crew downstairs will have a buncha munterated shmingoids land on em. That's gotta be wothwhile waiting for!
