phone providers.
transferred from my account to the Libs buisness account (hello no more phone bills!)
and vodaphone forgot to tell us that my iphone may be locked to optus and that should be unlocked first.
now i has no phone for 4-10 days while optus 'process' the unlocking.
GAH!

Re: Gripe thread
porting a number should be turned around in ~24 hours max (that's governed by tsa rules), 'unlocking' a handset is a separate issue and is really at the discretion of the carrier. nasty, annoying, but sadly true.

I didn't think Australian iPhones were network locked....
Re: Gripe thread
both my last phones have been locked to carriers. One a nokia was locked to optus and my current erricson is locked to telstra, its an absolute royal pain in the ass to try and get them to unlock them.

five phone calls, two visits to provider shops, a few tears at being given the runaround, and some very demanding words and they unlocked it on the spot.

Re: Gripe thread
GOTD: Dumb fucken office bitch.
Oh.My.God. Having to deal with her over this conference... Friday's accusation was that I had been misspending University money (I don't have access to any account numbers at all - Can.Not.Spend.University.Money), then my boss was misspending University money (straightest bloke ever), then finally she was forced to admit that the "misspent money" was a hotel booking he made for family members on a personal credit card (no University money at all. Ever. In fact, 100% none of her business.)
Gross incompetence, combined with being really fucken nosy. Oh, and lies, she likes them. For example, if you don't know something, you could say "I'm sorry, I don't know," or perhaps even "I have no idea and I can't be fucked to check," but instead she goes with "No, that's against policy." FFS, it's just making it more fucken work - we end up needing 25 extra emails and two meetings, because these things do actually need to get done.

i will warn you and say they are students (hence the price), but they cannot do anything without a qualified person checking over you. If you ask for Amy who i saw she is almost fully qualified so she needed little supervision, and fixed me up good. I went there like March last year when i did some stupid thing and hurt my back and they fixed me in one session. Good stuff i reckon

Why? Because I don't let graduates of Dr Orgen Donar's 100% Happy Wellness Online University touch me.
I don't get my car serviced by a hairdresser either.
Ok, ok......IF I had a car.

One of the family dogs is not well Woke up this morning and she was lieing out the back in the cold, massive pool of saliva, won't walk.
Hopefully the choked up ramblings about how much I love her to the Vet will inspire some medical genius.

I wanted to be a hero. I wanted to be the center of attention. I wanted the glory, I wanted the fame. I wanted the pretty girls to come up and say, "Hi, I see that you're good at Centipede."

Looks like she might have pneumonia. On strong antibiotics and being monitored.
I'm glad it's not rat poisoning; she has been barking at night lately and I have been worried about cuntish neighbours baiting her.
