Im skeppers of anyone who is that 'good'. Im hopeful as I go along she will harden up a bit. There is not a single thing wrong with being a good girl, but i seem to be very wary for some reason. Livinia Nixon type thing.
I more wish she was called that fucking name. Its retarded and shithouse.
Loving it tho, have to say.

Re: T.V
Anyone been wathing The Virtual Revolution?
Last night was totally fascinating. While most of it seems like common sense, the types of people they interveiwed and they way they put it together as a narrative... I was compelled.
The way they are living/learning online already in S.Korea and the concept of a shared intelligence being used in such a way by the next gen - especially those under 5 now - it is awe inspiring.
I would love to go back and do some further sociology and anthropology now studying this whole virtual and communications revolution - the higher thinking and discourse around its potential, and the direction it is taking us is so central to our future - and it is hopeful!

I had a shot at Liv once after a tourism event in Darwin. I think she thought I was scum - but really I was just drunk. She wasn't as interested in getting dirty as I thought she would be.
Re: T.V
so after a few years of putting it off I finally got around to watching the infamous 'The Wire'
what an absolute class act. (and I'm generally allergic to police drama, thanks to Merry Fuckheimer et al.).

Re: T.V
Livinia Nixon learned to read her autocue by reading the Herald Sun social pages everyday, which is why she can’t handle words with more than two syllables. She stars in every show that Channel Nine can shoe-horn her into, including the Weather, Hey Hey It's The Weather, Getaway from the Melbourne Weather and Who Wants to be a Weathernnaire.
Do not rate.
Am loving Ugly Americans. The characters are a lot like Futurama, the style is Sealab meets Venture Bros and the humour is pretty fucked up and black.
Mecka - you should check it out if you haven't already

I wanted to be a hero. I wanted to be the center of attention. I wanted the glory, I wanted the fame. I wanted the pretty girls to come up and say, "Hi, I see that you're good at Centipede."

I want to be a weathernnaire so freakin bad.
Re: T.V
so solid! No bells and whistles. Odd bit of humour thrown in. The way the stories tie together over the seasons is extremely satisfying. Top Marks!gnat wrote:how good is it flippo>?

though i am lately trying to ignore people talking, cos i dont care, they are not allowed to ruin dexter by pointing out its flaws!!!

Re: T.V
aha, all good.
but i really didn't mind or notice until someone pointed it out, but then i watched previous episodes and her acting is a bit off.
i think there is always the thought that eventaully, dexter will kill her.
whether you like her or not. he is going to kill her.

Re: T.V
We have a retarded number of channels (over 700 at last count), but all the good ones (Meet and Blow Joe, World's Biggest Gapes etc) are pay per view
The rest of them show ice hockey games, ice hockey replays, ice hockey pre-game discussions, ice-hockey pre-season warm-up matches, ice-hockey panel-style shows, and back-to-back episodes of Friends (for the girls) and 2 And a Half Rapists (for the Special Needs viewers).
Back to torrenting the Comedy Network etc. Meh.
