Yeah - it is impossible to find over here, as the scene exists pretty much solely in East London.

I've heard this Dj Hatcha Mix CD, Dubstep Allstars volume 1. It was pretty cool, kinda eerie vibe to it. The sets in the mixes section are pretty mad as well. I dig it.

Tempa label does pretty sweet stuff imo

Love Grime/dubstep whatever you call it.

I'm actually listening to Joe Nice as i type this. Definately prefer Dizzee's more harder/dirtier tunes. Wiley is okay except for the 4x4 shit but I love off beats and shit like that.

DaVinChe is really good.

Somalia have good taste in music!!!! Don't think i'd move there tho...

Grime
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Grime is musical offshoot of the early 21st century UK Garage scene that developed in London's East End between 2002-2004. In contrast to its more soulful progenitor, Grime can often be dark and aggressive, featuring MCs as opposed to singers and jettisoning the R&B influences that enabled UK Garage to earn mainstream radio support. In contrast, the success of Grime is inseperable from its connection with Pirate radio, with many performers honing their skills and achieving underground success before approaching the mainstream. Grime has roots in both hip-hop and electronic music and is characterised by rapid and rhythmic rhyming over sparse break beats, futuristic bleeps and guttural bass growls. Perhaps due to its experimental nature and diverse stylistic influences, Grime resisted attempts to classify or pigeon-hole it for a long time, but in the past has also gone by the names sublow, 8bar or eskibeat. It has also led to an instrumental sub-genre Dubstep

Now I know I guess

Yeah I reckon I will have to hey... and yeah you can't define music well by discribing it but like you know what I mean...

So is dubstep grime without MCs?

I'm clueless on this to be honest... like how I reckon I got into breakbeat was from 2-step/garage shit from when I was a kid, so solid crew and all that sort of thing... but I got over all the MCs crapping on about how cool they were and dissing other MCs and whatever. I like the music but...

I'll get a few mixes when I can

I've been selling it for years.

I've had all tempa, vehicle, soulja and some ghost through over the years I've been here

I currently stock all Hotflush (but most has sold), and some other smaller labels.

There's a new Tempa coming out soon that I'll be getting.

As for grime, I've been trying to find some decent suppliers.

Glad some-one want's him back, Saw his set at SplendourOnThaGrass last year &... he sucked, that was the general consensus too, not just my opinion. & What was with pulling barely legal girls up on stage for a 'dance-off'? poor sound too didn't help i spose. But I'd be willing to give him 1 more chance...
Oh yea, did his DJ really only have 1 arm?

I haven't as of yet figured out the difference between dubstep and grime. What I've heard is alright but the snare drum on beat three kinda kills the groove for me. Good sounds though.

yeh its a bit fucked over there... there's been loads of shootings lately around the Cross too. I lived in Shoreditch, then Bethnal Green for a while... but never really did the clubs too much, never hung out at Bow...

I remember when I first met Dboy over there (sorry mate)... He was telling me how he was at Herbal (I think) and got rolled on the dancefloor or something like that... nothing he could do about it. Its different for sure.
