Benga is widely regarded as one of the founding forefathers of the scene known as Dubstep through his relationship with Big Apple records. Helping to fuse the South London Dubstep sound with the East London grime sound meant he was at the forefront when the style exploded in the early 00’s. In a short time he has leant his production talents to a mass of releases. He’ll be joining the Bass High crew, who have quickly established themselves as Melbourne's premier weekly night of Dubstep and Grime. These sunday sessions bring together the best selection of Melbourne's Grime and Dubstep Selectors with their mates from the Drum n Bass and Hip Hop community to help you party your Sunday night away. Supported by Kammo, ShiKung, AC23, Hooves, Sloth, Wasaabi. $15 on the door only @ The Laundry 50 Johnston st.

Are you aware its going to be upstairs???Acoustic Warfare wrote:Please please please pretty please with a cherry on top get some more subs in for this one bruva, that system at Laundry doesnt have the balls in the lowend for the bass that this guy is gonna be packing. Throw a couple of 18" W-bins and it would be vibin.

Yeah man 4 sure, there wasnt alot of sub going on when i saw State of Mind up there....I reckon it needs some serious definition in the sub bass (under 60Hz) for those dubstep basslines, theres heaps of info in the lower registers in dubstep as you probably know. The system is pretty tight and punchy up there but in my opinion it lacks bass.ShiKung wrote:Are you aware its going to be upstairs???Acoustic Warfare wrote:Please please please pretty please with a cherry on top get some more subs in for this one bruva, that system at Laundry doesnt have the balls in the lowend for the bass that this guy is gonna be packing. SO THERE:
Finish my last 2 exams ever on that week.
One of them is an 8-hour straight test on General Relativity.
