Been on Motorola for the past 3ish years. and all I can say is thank FUNK I don't have a bloody Razr anymore.
my mate works for them - I'll get him to recommend what's suitable for you Fents - what sort of work environment will they be in?

I was anti flip/slide for many years.... I now have a sony-ericsson W910i (slide), which I am uber happy with. Best phone I've owned by far.
the mp3 player kicks ass too.

I would steer clear of windows mobile or symbian smart atm

Still rocking out my Nokia (3210 or whatever it is). It's great, hasn't let me down yet. I've tried Sony Ericsson before, fucking hated it - but then again, it was only one model. Marvie's Motorola shits us both to tears.
I've got a Nokia N73.
Pretty tidy phone, and because it's an older model you can pick them up pretty cheap.

Fents, The Nokia 6500 classic would be your best choice I think.

don't know about that... don't need subscribed internet because I'm always around wifi or a computer... wouldn't bother with it i dont think. And 2.5 is fine enough ^_^jbs wrote:At least until you get 3G iphone envy in July anyway.cha_chaos wrote:you know what I'm going to say

Unfortunatley Fents, and I'm being serious... the iPhones won't be sold at $500 for a while, unless you get them second hand. The currency conversion makes a cost of $500 aud for the 8g, then there's shipping and the time it takes to crack the phones, and learn how to crack them (usually takes hours) so it's not really worth it. will definately let you know when they're that cheap though will be interested to see the price of iphones when they are released in aus, since the lock clearly hasn't worked they may start charging more.

not that simple young hug. The newer release phones that come out always have to be recracked, then if you brick them, which is easy (mine has been bricked various times while updating firmware) then you need at least a little bit of computer literacy to get it working again. May take <2 mins for you, but mainly because you are an uber puter nerdhuge wrote:u can crack an iphone in < 2mins now with one clicky

case study #1
sold 1.1.2 iphone to man.
man updates iphone to 1.1.4 almost immediately
man attempts to crack iphone himself using undisclosed methods
dead iphone
huge is given iphone to fix
huge downloads ziphone
huge presses the Unlock, Jailbreak & activate button
working iphone on latest firmware in less than 2 mins.
hug is a FREAK!!!
hahaha. with ziphone if it's out of the box 1.1.2 or 1.1.3 then you're going to be ok
but if it's already been cracked and you try to upgrade it, then things can get hairy
but i will send mine to you when it needs its upgrade to 2.0, since you are the guru

I got one of these recently: http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_2630-1973.php
Sick phone, and cheap too...
Ultra thin (10mm!), minimal bells and whistles except the basics (plenty of memory, bluetooth, mp3 rightones, long battery life)
