Timeless Choons

Post by flippo »

The choons that maybe aren't absolute killers the first time you hear them, but you never get sick of them. What makes this kinda choon? is it simplicity?

for me, DnB - Calibre/High Contrast - Mr Majestic, or just about any calibre choon.

Dubstep - I'd say in 3 years time I'll still enjoy Toasty - Like Sun. Every second clown that puts together a dubstep mix throws it in and I still look forward to hearing it.

These are the choons that we will hear in 30 years time when Gold 104 has a broken beat classics show.

The only version of this track I know is the 16B (progressive house) remix that Deep Dish used to play heaps.

Hrm.

The first time I heard Gyromancer was when I saw Paul Oakenfold play records at some party down at the docks.

Chicane rocked it that night. But hearing Gyromancer was the moment I remember most.

The old teebee stuff hasnt aged much at all, same with the higher education label, well what I have heard anyway.

Definatly D-Bridge : True Romance & that twilight tune

I reckon the phace stuff coming out will still sound fresh in 5 years, along with the legacy album, and other teebee 12's.

I still get a kick out of all the older klute stuff I hear, particulary "Part of Me", "Duplicity Rmx" & "P.K.P"....they are some of my favourite tunes, I sure there is an entire myriad of klute stuff im yet to hear.

and how could I forget; Bad Company : Planet Dust
