a few godspeed you black emperor! passeges such as Moya, and Lift yr. Skinny fists.

A zilver Mt Zion - 13 angels stand gaurd 'round the side of your bed

Low - July, passage at the end pulls your heart up into your throat. Rarely listen to it without having a tear or having to hold them back at least.

I don't think any kind of dance music has ever had that sort of affect on me. Smoked Glass and Chrome by OTT can do it sometimes, but still it's not quite the same feeling, that's more of a 'wow this sounds so fucking cool feeling', bit more aesthetic or something.

tis nice, whats that frickin sample from???

as for goosebump toons, off the top of my head:

breakage "mars"-- fantastic tune, really simple and melancholy but I can listen over and over.

Pinch " qwaali(sp)"-- amazing space in this tune, again simple but beautiful

sublime "scarlet begonias" --dunno why but theres a point when Brad starts to rap and it just hypes me up/ gets to me

Flippo "rain" yup big ups flip this tune is just too good, as soon as I heard it I could see the video that I would eventually make for it!! Its a very "visual" tune.

Corrupt souls " samsara"-- best.intro.ever

Pink floyd " wish you were here"-- when I was young my old man would play the vinyl of this to us kids, still gets me.

can think of so many more but best leave it at that....

Man, that is uncanny.
I was just about to post the same tune - no shit.
I heard Unsung on Rage the other night for the first time in years, when Tom Morello was programming.
That tune still rocks me as much now as it did then.

It actually changed my life. As did the album 'Meantime' it was featured on.

Helmet - what a band!! 8)

I think he programmed rage with them one night, and signed them to his label?

AHAH!! I totaly wouldn't put that in this thread, but I used to love dubwar. When I used to DJ for 'Radio Rusden' (lol), I used to play a bit of Dubwar, including strike it. Have you heard the soulfly song with benji on vocals?

That section towards the ends with the snare drums and other tribal drums banging out a rythem, and then the snare roll fires up and benji jumps into a rhyme, fucking wicked :D Get's me pumped.
