new link:
http://www.fooishbar.org/tmp/schnitzel.ppt

in easier form:
When feeling very hungry, you should pay restaurant Waldgeist in Hofheim a visit. They will serve you the biggest Schnitzel. The plates in the following pictures are the size of a pizza-plate (!). This all for very affordable prices. Every table has rolls of alu-foil, ready to be used. Those that have to use the alu-foil are considered cowards. Drinks are, unless otheriwse ordered, served in 2-litre glasses and their bestseller is “Der Bembel des Todes” a 5-litre glass filled with Bacardi-Cola for only 35 Euro.

Jäger is the sauce - basically a creamy mushroom sauce.

Great flicks! They remind me of places I visited in Austria.. or when I
visit Una's.

My standard recipe is normal mate :

Lightly pan fry snitz in oil
Let oil drain off on paper towel on a plate
Add Ham
Add sauce (usually lego's tomato paste or That CC's dip stuff)
Add cheese
Grill until golden brown

The other day i went on a bit of a tangent and created a Palami :

Basically replace ham with good preston or vic market salami and you have a palami...turned out very good indeed.

palami is also known as parmageddon ... I like it!

mine is 100% oven ...

get 2 chicken breasts - flatten (not into submission but so they're level)

coat chicken in egg, cover with breadcrumbs and fresh grated parmesan ... put in tray and add to oven at 350 for 30 mins

whilst this is being done grab half a cup of napoli and add 2 crushed garlic cloves and some basil and stir ... also chop up mushrooms (3 max) thinly

take chicken out ... add napoli mix, then mushroom slices then ham ... cover with a large slice of mozarella (should be one slice) ... then throw back in the oven for 25 mins.

the chicken should be really juicy and everything should be melted and delicious!

i always do my parmas with left over bolognese sauce. it's the bomb.

i recommend the parma at the terminus hotel in queens parade, clifton hill. they used to a deal where it was $30 and you get a pot and other stuff with it. i think they've dropped the $30 deal now but the parma is to die for.

d'Preston market is okay... much prefer Camberwell to be honest...

I work in d'Preston, it's a pretty shitty suburb - and I do mean that literally. We've had some dude shit out the front of our place three times in the past year.

the best parma in victoria was awarded to a pub in Geelong

it's not often i go into bat for my home town. BUT! the best parma in victoria was awarded to the Fyansford hotel, which is away from Geelongs CBD and in a quite, cosy part of town (surrounded by 100 year old gum trees) easily some of the best food you'll taste, and nothing over 15 bucks!

Same mate. My first few years in Melbourne were divided between the Dog and the Cliffo, usually Tues/Thu/Fri/Sat's.... funtimes indeed! The Cliffo's 3-hours of power was always good for the uni students budget!

the clifton is a dodgy place (well, was) but that's what made it special. it was dirty though.

the fact it was such a den of sin right smack bang in the middle of melbourne's rich was pretty amusing.
