Hey, I liked that film.eskay wrote:

You're gonna love the gig eskay. Because he delivers short, one-liners, there are literally hundreds of jokes in his routine. I laughed hysterically from start to finish.
The funniest comedy act I've seen by quite a margin.

I've seen him before but it was years ago (maybe '96 or '97 or something) - hopefully he'll have some new material now

And some Daniel Kitson while you're at it...
And if I could put in an order for the sad but necessary assinations of the following "comedians" (I use this term VERY loosely):
Dave Hughes
Dave O'Neill
Judith Lucy
Rove
Peter Hellier
(please feel free to add your own)

See but your sentence makes sense, you could be going to see the band called 'The Music.'lynt wrote:What, come and see something done by someone? What mate? It's like... hey, I can't tonight, I'm going to the music.
Just felt like being a smart arse.

I'll grant you the safe passage of Judith and Rove, but Hellier needs to be covered in paper cuts and fed to the pirhanas.... I just find him one dimensional and dull...quick wrote:Kitson rules, but I don't agree with the Killing of Rove and Peter Hellier, I love em both, sure they're not of the same league, but they're good at what they do. And Judith Lucy definately had her day, she used to be gold.

I once saw Pete buying a rather attractive girl drinks for a good couple of hours at the Glenferrie Hotel, only to get a fairly public and obvious knock back when he moved in for the "kill".
Think it might be something to do with the Kangol cap.... Samuel L Jackson is the only man in the world that can carry off that look with style and panache...

Was that Marcos? I had breakie there once, wasn't that good at all, but I had dinner there once too, and it was great.mecka wrote:He ate once at a cafe I used to work at on Brunny St. He left a kind note with one of the waitresses detailing how the breakfast he'd bought from us had been the shittest meal he'd ever eaten.

Or used to see me... I quit there about 8 months ago. You could often see me sitting there with a cigarette and a coffee, offending all the bums.quick wrote:Sorry I meant Don Vincenzos, thats the one I see you out the front of quite often.mecka wrote:Nah Don Vincenzos, next to Marios (I'm not sure if there's a Marco's on Brunny?).

Daniel Kitson is certainly in a world of his own. a few years ago, I saw him perform for abut 45 minutes over the scheduled time for his gig.great_magnet wrote:some Daniel Kitson
bit of a case of ambulance watching sometimes, 'cause his humour is seriously way out there. as is the man himself.
funny as all hell though.

RIP Bill Hicks, that guy pawned! He was the thinking man/womans comedian.
That's so plausible I can't believe it!

Agree with the Boosh, those guys are outta sight hilarious. Don't enjoy Noel by himself though. I know it sounds weird coming from me, but I find him a little too random.
I agree with Magnets hit list, except Judith Lucy. During Late Show years she used to piss me off hardcore, but I find these days I've mellowed a bit and can tolerate her, maybe because these days I'm directing all my anger at Rob Sitch.
Agree with Kitson as well, the dude is very very funny. Ross Noble gets me going as well.
Kill Rove. Please.
And Hellier.
