Not too disimilar from catching that Connex bullshit in the morning.
Probably more advanced though.
I would like to see the Gumby's do the rounds on that train.
"Ohh, one of the ticket inspectors has gone overboard!" said the old lady.
"Fuck him. Let him re-attatch his own leg. Broady here we come! Lets rip these little yellow bastards up!" said the DJ with $500 worth of Connex fines outstanding.

That looks more like a derilect merri go round than a train (sort of anyway). Imagine that. A rave on a giant merri go round, with all your mum and dads keeping a close eye on you for the Sidelines. Would make for some interesting tripping...deviant wrote:Looks like the gig will be touch and go.... the train still needs some work..

A rave on a merry-go-round?
Would make for some interesting spewing.
How about rave on the Gravatron?
You could do the Melbourne shuffle with your eyeballs.
Will never forget being at Luna park when I was young, and a dude spewing on the Gravatron as it was just getting fast.
Instead of dripping down the wall, it just stuck to him the whole ride.
Ahh the memories of youth.....

It's a bit slower on the way back, they have 1 hr set times. Where are you going for 90mins as the train turns around?? ie the gap between 10.30 and 12 (when the train is scheduled to leave again)?Brain wrote:http://www.inthemix.com.au/forum/showth ... p?t=168145deviant wrote:^^ the set times are up on thescene and inthemix....
9 Little evil
9:45 Brainstorm
I cant beleive you would do a 45 minute set. Unless the train only takes 1hr&1/2 to get there, in shich case it makes perfect sense.
The train takes an hour and a half to get there. Apparently. We'll just have to go sick from the very start. Cool.

munching y ou say? what will be be munching? I thought the stop was for more music and munting...Brain wrote:The train stops at Macedon, everyone hops off and goes to the Macdeon Hotel to listen to some music and munch on some food. Yep, BS are full of BS.
Free to those that can afford it, very expensive to those that can't.
I hear they grow some tasty mushrooms near the summit up there.Brain wrote:We will probably be munting on canapes and cocktails. This is a sophisticated event dahliiing.

I hope you've isolated the decks!
Have fun guys, wish I could be rocking it out with you, but have a few pressing issues with exams.
Maybe we can do a dance bus cruise in the near future, like one of those kid gymansium buses...

Well, that exceded every expectation and goes down as one of the gigs of the year.
It was like playing in an earthquake, and it was real hard to hold everything together while playing, due to the clickety clack, slam, bump of the train.
But it was completely awesome.
Props to everyone who played. Really high standard of tuneage and mixing - very impressive.
Had a ball, the train was rammed, nice people up for good music everywhere - and right into the breakbeat
We had 3 whole carriages going absolutely sick!!
I can honestly say, after playing under those conditions (and I think that Brainstorm would agree) there couldn't be a harder gig to play - unless someone was hitting you with a stick while playing or something.
But, the equipment was good, and it was a great challenge.
I enjoyed every minute of it - seeing heaps of people who've not heard breaks like that before going right off!
Breakbeat LIVES!!
More breaks on a train I says!

Apparantly Earthcore is doing an Aeroplane gig in Sydney. Would probably include Barrel Rolls and zero gravity dives.Little Evil wrote: More breaks on a train I says!

Yeah, I've heard talk of the plane thing.
I think they'd be hard pressed to beat the atmosphere in that train the other night though?
Absolutely CANED the last traincore for organization and fun. The stop off in Macedon was mad.
I found myself laughing all night.
Thanx Brain - and thanx for you and Sal and randomn punters holding the decks stable while we played.
You guys played a killer set.
I hope my deck holding was adequate? I've done it a few times before, but not on a moving 80 year old train.
Absolute classic gig in every way.
I haven't seen people so up for a party like that in a couple of years.
No room to move, and a good half hour walk from one end of the train to the other. Everyone dancing their arses off.
Special big ups to Quiet Roars family representing him, while he's overseas.
Those guys are at every gig I play, and it's always great to see them front and centre while on the decks.
Had a good time with you guys - and hope to see you again soon!

That was so much fun and sooooo manic!
great set by drew to get the train jumping, and props for holding the decks too in our set. The jumping records and loss of power just added to the insane vibe of the whole night.
props to mij too for some great steadying skills.
wondering if macedon has recovered from the invasion of munters yet

Love this one of Sal:
That photo sums up the whole night really.
Out of control!!
Best fun I've had in ages.
Wish we could do it again this weekend.
