ANYTIME @ Workshop :: Jan 12th

Post by lynt »

Image

Continuing fortnightly on Jan 12th, the cats who're known best for their contribution to the Drum&Bass and Beats&Breaks scene have peeled off the faster tempos for something a little more intimate.

ANYTIME is just that, breaking free of the tempo regime and playing a host of our favourite beats in our collection. From our homegrown roots to shit we bought yesterday, it doesn't matter. What matters is the unique opportunity to play what we love most, music.

This week we set sail for gin & tonic as the heat keeps us out of the kitchen and in Workshop for a night of unrelentless beats and bone crushing bass. We invite Loot aka Motive aka stay puft to shine on the Technics with his unique blend of whateverthehellhefeelslike.

You know the deal.

Lineup...
8:00pm: Lynt (Tutorials in skin care)
9.30pm: Joe Seven (Tutorials in high-fives)
11.00pm: Loot (Tutorials in sneaky pocket lift)
12:30am: Dust (Wants a low rider ute for birthday)
2am: We play till we get kicked. (jager, tequila, oat cuisine)

ANYTIME at Workshop
Cnr A'Beckett & Elizabeth St
Melbourne CBD
Friday Dec 29th
8pm - 3am

ANYTIME, cream, get da money, dolla dolla bill y'aaaall.

That was by far one of the funniest nights i've had in ages!!

Sombrero DJing is hard.

Actually DJing that drunk is hard.

Anytime 2007, back in force!

Look out for our 1st birthday, 26th Jan. More details to come.

Plenty of DJ's around Mellie play it at the moment, Paz, Ransom, Loot, Ooi, to name a few. You can hear Ransom & Paz playing it at Revolver most weeks.

Yeah, I think he played a few, I was pretty wasted though to be honest.

I think the guys play a blend of Baltimore / Brazilian, er, that end of the spectrum. I don't know that much about it tbh.

heheh, aight cool,
yeh lotsa ppl do seem to have at least a couple o' baile funk tracks, it just gets mixed up with bmore a lot, and you don't hear much of it. They go nicely together though :p
i'm curious to see how well it goes down at other places is the meaning to my interest
