Bought this console joint with a mate.

And weve been gettin into the whole online virtual console game purchases.

So far weve bought old skool games, Donkey Kong, Mario Bros, Donkey Kong country, Mario 64 and Ecco the Dolphin.

Some of the games use the wii remote which is wicked, but some need the classic controller. We only found out the other day that on top of the wii console is a panel that opens up that has 4 ports for old gamecube controllers. So weve been using the gamecube controllers to play 2 player old nes games. However i reckon were gonna buy the wii classic controllers as the layout of the buttons is alot more functional than on the gamecube controllers.

Zelda rocks, just defeated the 3rd dungeon, great game, so many different styles of play.

News for owners... http://www.tgdaily.com/2006/12/15/nintendo_wii_recall/

Nintendo has put out a voluntary recall on the Wii-mote. You can get a replacement with a beefcake strap.

Not sure if this is on in Aus yet, but it will be soon.

I tried wii-ly hard to see what the fuss was all about, watching a few mates playing with their wii whilst some one lese was mixing.
I want to know if they're planning on having a wireless controll that could interface with a tune mixing application like tractor or serato. Just seemed a bit low tech to be playing tennis with wire less and having somebody else slaving over the decks in stead of being able to sit in comfort and mix tunes whilst watchng the games of tennis.

product.
Hopefully it looks and plays like this though!

i thought excite truck didnt come out till later in the month.

I think Wario Ware comes out Jan 25.

but yeah Rayman is a wicked game, so many mini games, too bad im still waitin on a 2nd nunchuck controller from pre-order (hurry up damnit)

but really its all about the virtual console games, every friday they release more.

Gunstar Heroes - wicked game - same style as Metal Slug games

Donkey Kong Country - Just clocked this game for the first time, had this as a kid but never finished it. When u fight the last boss, it makes u think uve won and starts loading the credits, then the boss comes to life and usually kills u by surprise, then u have to kill him again + more.

but yeah cant wait for wario ware and mario.

yep, you just go to shopping, and go virtual console. (after uve added wii points)

A little trick i learned, to get access to some games (Gunstar Heroes) that arent available under an australian wii, you simply change your country to united kingdom (after u bought wii points using australia (they cheaper for australians)) and then re login to virtual console and games available in the uk will be there for u to purchase.
pretty stupid that some games are avail in uk but not aus, but very simply to get around.

Brought Tony Hawk Downhill last night. Where the fuck do people get off charging $98 for a freakin game....Luckily it was worth it. Im hooked and so is my girl.

Not like normal Tony Hawk where u just skate round a park and do tricks...Its all about downhill racing and doing dope tricks. Kammo would absolutley love this game, any skater would.

The controls work perfectly too, u sort of hold the remote sideways and tilt it from left to right..

Highly recommended game 4 outta 5 stars.

There was fukall games in JBhifi to choose from tho, hurry up march 2007.

^ lol.

I almost finished zelda the other day, wont be playing for a while as it was my brothers. Excellent game, quite similar to Ocarina but totally awesome. i found it rather easy tho. The control is fucking next level shit, so cool walking around then drawing your sword with a flick of the remote and smiting with your shield etc. Sweet items too.

although finishing gears o war in co-op was rather smashing. yes
