How much would the handset be if I was spending $79 cap + $30 data p.m?

Depends for the BB your best going on a BB plan. Unlimited email and internet use with 300 of calls for $79. Mind you if your currently on a 79 cap you probably make to many calls for a BB plan. I think from memory handsent repayment for the pearl are $30 a month I'll check tonight for you. Mind you how important is email? BB are great email devices but fucking shit phones!!!!!! I wouldn't recommend one unless email is essential all the time.

hey kronz - sorry to bother - but what is the k800i Sony like ... and can it handle email?

I have the N70 right now ... it has mobile mail. .. which isn't always on but means i can access it on demand. Could I do this with the k800i?

I'm sure you can do email on it. I dont know for sure but I'd be very surprised if you cant. Having said that to be honest i think the K800 sucks. It has a joystick and sony joystick always always fuck up. Good luck to get it to last the 2 years. I work at 3 stores all of which have k800 demos, 2 out of the 3 phones lasted a month before they fucked up. Big s/w issues. They freeze a fair bit. Mind you when the s/w is working it is fast not like the n70 also it has a fucking cool mini golf game on it. Probably the best mobile game i have ever played. In all i personally would be a bit worried selling you the phone coz i dont have 100% confidence in it. Sorry if I've burst your bubble but i tell it the way it is.

The K810 has 'push' email capability, for the Depeche Mode fans (you just can't get enough).

What attracts you to the k800? What features are you looking for? Thay will give me something to go off.

Noteworthy mentions atm are nokia 6233 and the new 6300. I played with the 6300 for the first time last night. It looks fucking hot! I'd vote these two phones coz they are relativly cheap 500-600 they are easy to use and can do most things.

I had one of these calls the other day. Went something like this:

Them: "We see that you're not with Telstra, and wondering if you'd like to change?
Me: Not going to happen.
Them: Not going to happen? Why?
Me: I'm on pre-paid now and don't spend anywhere near as much as what my Telstra bills used to be.
Them: What if we gave you a new phone?
Me: Not going to happen.
Them: And paid your bills for 10 months?
Me: Not going to happen.
Them: Oh ok, thanks, see you.

I used to think contracts were the best option, but never again. Especially not with Telstra.

I smashed my phone at BLIM. I pulled it out of my pocket to find a cracked LCD. Three wouldn't replace it and I was in dire need of a mobile that weekend, so I got this and am extremely happy:

what phone do you have? do they still make it? if not, you'll get a better, newer phone. Otherwise, negotiate with them, they can make offers to keep you a happy customer.
