How much of your work day is spent on the internet?
I just realised that I've had enough of work today and it's a bit slow ATM, so I've spent most of the day posting on forums and wasting time surfing.
Anyone care to make estimates of how much company time they spend online not working?

I am a self confessed forum whore... I spend 8 hours a day posting whilst working. I am sure if the company I worked for had any idea they were paying me to do this, I would be in in some serious trouble, however they keep telling me they are happy with my work. Which means that either I am fantastic at multitasking or the job role is so darn easy that even a monkey could do it... frankly I would think it was the later. hahahah
anyway, what's worse is I am on my annual leave this week and still pumpin the keys. perhaps we need a posters anonymous???
and before you say anything, I already know, I am sad.

Got really good at the (apple H) hide the browser, when the boss walks in. Although I don't think my boss really knows what I do.
Just as well really

Free to those that can afford it, very expensive to those that can't.

So as a substitue time wasting exercise I call my GF for at least 15 mins everyday. I email my friends, I call my bank, landlord, insurance company, make lots of cups of coffee (with my newly aquired plunger) and of course spend loads of time doing absolutely nothing at all. Anything that's not work basically.

I actually am not usually as bad as I have been for the past few days but have been working on pretty much only one project at work for the entire of this year and yesterday had to bear witness to some very senior people absolute decimate the basic foundation of just over 1/2 of it in about two hours. We put so much fantastic work in and they pretty much unravel it entirely because they think they know what they are doing.
To say its unmotivating is like saying shooting someone in the chest might be a little detrimental to your friendship.
Seriously, these guys have done what I consider the business equivalent of jumping off a bridge, even though they have been presented with a detailed report of case studies of people jumping off bridges in the past, and a detailed analysis of what will exactly happen when they hit the ground.
So I am spending all my time on forums because futility is sitting in the corner heckling me and wont stfu.

That's so plausible I can't believe it!
