um, so i half-assed entered this dj mix comp on liquidfunk.co.uk about five months ago. checked back today and it made the final 30.
if you vote for me, all your wildest dreams will come true.
so, you can go there, download 29 other mixes, weigh up the pros and cons, perhaps coin-flipping to figure out your favourite. or just vote for mine. either way, i think you have to register for their board to vote. my mix is right down the bottom which must be some kind of error on their part.
i don't even remember what the winner wins. or why i'm posting this.

Have mb.c heads ever had a similar comp?
is this maybe a question deserving its own thread?

I tried to run one on Melb Jungle ages ago. It all turned to shit cause skott couldnt get an FTP to upload mix's directly to the site. And there was never a chance of me getting 15 different mix's to 3 different judges across melb.

Judges or poll styles?
I just got the idea from the dnb one valuetime's in because it looks like it was set up on a forum using a similar setup to this one...
everyone in the mixes section finds places to host their own usually don't they?
Has it been done on mb.c before, like as an 'official comp'?

I like the idea, but u would have to have a time-restrictions on the mix, say narrow it down to 10-15 minutes
no-one is gonna download hours and hours of mix-time to judge !

The Melbourne Jungle one dies. Heaps of mixes were passed on, but the comp faded into oblivion (just like the money people donated).
