^^^ fuckign hell that is a disgusting piece of 'architecture'
why does it look like a hyundai symbol. fits the mould for useless inanae massive money middle east architecture. arabs will build anything these days and it seems have taste out their ass. like that ridiculous fucking homemade islands in the shape of err the world?

Storey Hall is my 'favourite' building, i love it, great inside and out. Needs more raves inside.
Image

zomg there are so many buildings I know of that id love to visit.some architecture i like and rate:

Blur Media Pavillion - Diller and Scofidio
Built on a swiss lake, a seff supporting tensegrity structure. 'made of' 13,000 fog nozzles that make a controllable mist cloud basically. inside the fog you just walk around in some kind of interactive new media rubbish experience, but that misses teh point that thsi would be a great place for a rave. doubles as a mad projection screen for artworks at night.

Image
Image
Image

A few various images of Lebbeus Woods projects - all unbuilt as he is basically an estranged academic type that does beautiful drawings and far too simply put - speculates about ways cities and urban environments can grow and to put change using existing fabric. He has based alot of his projects in post war countries most notably Sarajevo. Also has done concept design work for various movies.

Coop Himmelblau are grizzled (but futuristic) old german deconstructivists that have a large range of built and unbuilt stuff. Sharp rough contradicting and hard but delicate feeling buildings.

UFA Cinema - Dresden

Rooftop extension

Image

umm Foreign Office Architects did this twisting inte4rlocking massive trafficable roof ferry terminal in Yokahama using ship building techniques

Toyo Ito's Sendai Mediateque

I get nauseous being in big open plan buildings like Spencer St Station. Same with most shopping centres, it's like my centre of gravity goes for a swim.

I really don't like Fed Square. It might be nice if it wasn't surrounded by historic buildings like the cathedral, the Forum and Flinders St station.

Nah, SQ is right. It is a sculpture by Jeff Koons called "Puppy".

Jeff Koons is a tool. He does stuff like ceramic busts of Michael Jackson and his Chimp Bubbles, marries porn stars who are running for office in italy and makes giant sculptures of him fucking them.

His art is a reflection of his ego. Bloated.

Ive always been a fan of the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

A different construction company was hired for each of the towers, and they were made to compete against each other to see who could construct their tower first.

^ I know what you mean, which is kind of why I posted the pic. This one was built in 2006, while the Bilbao is 1997.

It is in a general Gehry theme, but I think the Bilbao one looks more textural and sculptural with its curly bits. It reminds me of a ship a bit, especially how it is on a waterfront.
