Talladega Nights rocked my boat. Left my brain at the door and had a good old fashion hootinanny.

What I have watched recently:
Children of Men - Loved it!
Stranger Than Fiction - Love the concept of the movie
Sherrybaby - stars Maggie Gyllenhaal about a chick just gets out of prison and tries to get her life back on track, it's alright

All a matter of opinion i suppose. I loved the Prestige and thought Talladega Nights and Miami Vice were two of the worst films i have ever seen. ever.

Miami Vice was pissweak IMO. Dragged myself through it though...now I have less brain space for more important things.

depends on your point of view i suppose. i'm in it more for the excellent way its shot and the locations rather than the acting and plot. Michael Mann is a reknowned perfectionist and it shows in the way each shot is constructed.

Colin Farell is a douche however. I do like Jamie Fox.

I also thought Miami Vice was pretty shit. Did look nice though. Had Mogwai - Auto Rock in the soundtrack too, in a spot that was well placed, which was the only thing that got me excited really. I fucking love that song, as with most mogwai songs.

Didn't like this one AT ALL. Gave up and left the room halfway through the movie. The dialogue was mostly boring and I was over the animated effects after 30 mins. I tried, but it lost me.

Saw an advanced screening of Paris Je T'aime on Sunday. I really really liked this film. It's one of those ones with multiple directors telling multiple different stories about a city, but you don't know which director did what.... the stories just flow one to the other with small links.

Some of the directors and cast included:
Directors - Coen brothers, Wes Craven, Gérard Depardieu, Tom Tykwer, Gus Van Sant and other international directors

Actors - Steve Buscemi, Juliette Binoche, Ludivine Sagnier, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Bob Hoskins, Emily Mortimer, Natalie Portman, Gérard Depardieu, Gena Rowlands plus heaps more.

There's some english, some subtitles. Highly recommended!!

and im not one for unresolved endings, but after that movie, it was okay to not really know what happened next, as the whole way along everything they were counting on was unknown...

amazing visuals, amazing acting.
mind blowing idea of wehat could happen in the future.

im looking forward to 28moths later or whatever the sequel to 28days later is called.

the end is extremely fucking nigh. (best tagline for a movie ever)

I don't get why everyone is saying the ending was unresolved? it was only unresolved insofar as we didn't get to see what happened to the world for the rest of eternity, and as such the same thing could be said of every movie ever made.

If anything when a movies is "unresolved" I think it better because it's more thought provoking - well thats my opinon anyways.
I think Children Of Men was well done.

Weird. I have no expectations, so its highly possible that it will be good. I'll still be suprised if it is though.
